In order to get more accurate results, our search has the following Google-Type search functionality:
If you use '+' in front of a word, then that word will be present in the search results.
ex: Harry +Potter will return results with the word 'Potter'.
If you use '-' in front of a word, then that word will be absent in the search results.
ex: Harry -Potter will return results without the word 'Potter'.
If you use 'AND' between two words, then both of those words will be present in the search results.
ex: Harry AND Potter will return results with both 'Harry' and 'Potter'.
If you use 'OR' between two words, then bth of those words may or may not be present in the search results.
ex: Harry OR Potter will return results with just 'Harry', results with just 'Potter' and results with both 'Harry' and 'Potter'.
If you use 'NOT' before a word, then that word will be absent in the search results.
ex: Harry NOT Potter will return results without the word 'Potter'.
Placing '""' around words will perform a phrase search. The search results will contain those words in that order.
ex: "Harry Potter" will return any results with 'Harry Potter' in them, but not 'Potter Harry'.
Using '*' in a word will perform a wildcard search. The '*' signifies any number of characters. Searches can not start with a wildcard.
ex: Pot*er will return results with words starting with 'Pot' and ending in 'er'. In this case, 'Potter' will be a match.

Refund / Returns Policy
Between Reads is not required to offer a credit or refund at all if a customer simply changes their mind, or has found the product elsewhere, according to Victorian and Australian Law (Trade Practices Acts).
However, Between Reads understands that from time to time these things happen and offers customers a "No Questions Asked Guarantee" to return any book for a store credit to the value of the item returned. The items MUST be returned within 14 days of being received and returned in mint condition and at the customer's own expense. The store credit given will only be for the price of the purchased item and not for the shipping charges. The store credit will be valid for 12 months after which time it will become invalid.
This Guarantee does not include Gift Vouchers, Audio & Visual Products, firm sale titles and orders where an extra discount has been applied.
Audio / Visual Policy
THERE IS A NO RETURN & NO REFUND POLICY FOR ALL AUDIO AND VISUAL ITEMS FOR CHANGE OF MIND.
Betweenreads.com.au lists the format of each item in the shopping cart, checkout and final payment details page; therefore it is up to the customer to ensure that they have purchased the correct format of the title.
Please note that as Betweenreads.com.au sources some titles from foreign countries, DVD's from these countries may not play in your DVD player due to regional code variations this does not mean that the DVD is faulty and is not covered by a refund.
This does not affect your rights if the audio or visual item is faulty or damaged.
Faulty or Damaged Goods Policy
Between Reads visually inspects the outside of every item to ensure it has not arrived damaged from its suppliers. We do encourage all customers to flick through a book to ensure all pages are printed correctly. However, we do know of instances that chapters can be missing, duplicated or in the incorrect order and you may only realise this upon reading the book. Publishers will replace faulty items in almost every instance as long as it is still in print. Please note a CD or DVD is not tested by the Between Reads staff therefore it is up to the customer to check that everything is in perfect condition on its arrival, scratches and digital defects are rare but from time to time do happen.
Between Reads does pack every parcel with care to ensure it arrives at its destination in the same condition it left our warehouse. Unfortunately a very small percentage of packages do arrive damaged due to mishandling by Australia Post and our courier services as part of their standard parcel delivery program.
If you believe that the item you received is damaged or is faulty please contact Customer Service via phone during business hours (8:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday) or contact us using email. Our contact details can be found in the ‘Contact Us' section, please remember to quote your lawbooks.com.au username and order number when contacting us regarding an order.
All prices listed on lawbooks.com.au are in Australian dollars ($AUS).
All orders are subject to price and availability confirmation. If we cannot supply the product for the originally advertised price then Between Reads will do one of two things:
1. If the increase in price is marginal, Between Reads will absorb the increase, proceed with the order and adjust the price on the website after processing your order.
2. If the price is significantly more than as stated on our site, we will not proceed until we have consulted with you via phone or email and outlined the options. You will not be charged any extra for that item until we are given confirmation to proceed with the new price. You have 48 hours to decide and respond to the options given to you. If you respond after this time frame, you will be asked to place a new order through the website. If there are other titles on the order that are readily available then they will be automatically ordered.
Between Reads are not obligated to sell a title at the listed price if we are not able to source it from our supplier at the time of ordering as prices may have changed in the interim. In all instances you will be contacted by phone or email if there is a change of price and we will endeavour to find an alternative edition for the same price or discuss the possibility of purchasing the same title at the new price.
lawbooks.com.au offers discount rates to bulk orders of over $1000 to a range of customers. Bulk orders only apply when making a purchase of multiple copies of the same title to a total value of over $1000 and do not include purchases over $1000 made on various titles (eg. 25 different books = $1000).
If you would like a quote on a bulk order please contact Between Reads via phone or email to arrange a quote on both the book title and shipping costs. When contacting us regarding a bulk order you will need to provide us with the title, author and ISBN so we can easily identify the book you're enquiring about. We also request that you provide us with sufficient contact details including: full name, company name, address, email, fax and phone number as well as the time frame in which you require the order. Our standard $6.50 shipping does not apply to bulk orders.
