In order to get more accurate results, our search has the following Google-Type search functionality:
If you use '+' in front of a word, then that word will be present in the search results.
ex: Harry +Potter will return results with the word 'Potter'.
If you use '-' in front of a word, then that word will be absent in the search results.
ex: Harry -Potter will return results without the word 'Potter'.
If you use 'AND' between two words, then both of those words will be present in the search results.
ex: Harry AND Potter will return results with both 'Harry' and 'Potter'.
If you use 'OR' between two words, then bth of those words may or may not be present in the search results.
ex: Harry OR Potter will return results with just 'Harry', results with just 'Potter' and results with both 'Harry' and 'Potter'.
If you use 'NOT' before a word, then that word will be absent in the search results.
ex: Harry NOT Potter will return results without the word 'Potter'.
Placing '""' around words will perform a phrase search. The search results will contain those words in that order.
ex: "Harry Potter" will return any results with 'Harry Potter' in them, but not 'Potter Harry'.
Using '*' in a word will perform a wildcard search. The '*' signifies any number of characters. Searches can not start with a wildcard.
ex: Pot*er will return results with words starting with 'Pot' and ending in 'er'. In this case, 'Potter' will be a match.

OverviewBusiness law is a challenging field encompassing many aspects of commercial and personal enterprise. A Guide to Business Law, 18th Edition offers comprehensive coverage of business law topics in an easy-to-understand context, providing up-to-date and relevant commentary that will keep students ahead of the pack. Since the last edition, the impact of electronic resources and accompanying law on aspects of business and personal legal rights and obligations has been notable. This edition of A Guide to Business Law takes account of these changes, including commentary on the “EBAY“ decision, Smythe v Thomas, which is discussed at length in Chapter 21, “E-commerce”. As well as including recent media releases outlining current policy on the law, this new edition also includes links to Australian government websites, which provide a wealth of information for readers on consumer and competition matters. New features are the addition to each chapter of a mini-glossary of terms and phrases discussed within each chapter, and a detailed chapter summary, both of which aid and enhance use of the text. Accompanying A Guide to Business Law, 18th Edition is a new range of interactive online content, including self-tester quizzes and instructor modules, all of which can be accessed via the Thomson academic website.
